Posted November 09, I think I have solved the sound crash bug in The Solon Heritage for Vista and 7, but I need confirmation from others to see if it works. In both game directories, there is a folder called Inf. I don't think it plays any part of actually fixing the problem, but I thought I'd mention that it was done prior to my experimentation with the Inf files.

I don't know which Inf file is the offender, but all I know is that I played the game for about 3 hours without a crash as opposed to it working for only 10 minutes before crashing before replacing the Inf files. If anyone else who experiences the sound crash could verify this for me, I'd appreciate it.

Works beautifully. I just played about 5 hours without a single crash. Thank you guys, still playing without any crash Yes, the game WORK and is very good game. Is there a way to do this without the cd image? Installing SweetFX not only makes the graphics look way better, but it seems to have also fixed the sound system error for some odd reason. If you happen to have the original cd release of the game like I did then you can do this fix without having to worry about other images or daemon tools. Follow the first few steps of theis repair, and then when it comes to downloading the image, just pop in the disc and launch from steam.
